Chelsea are in a battle with Manchester United, Liverpool and Benfica for the transfer of 19 year old Colombian forward Jhon Duran, according to Daily Mail.
The 19 year old forward is attracting interest from clubs across Europe after registering 8 goals and 5 assists in 27 games last season for MLS side Chicago Fire.
United and Chelsea are both believed to have made enquiries about the teenager, who has appeared three times for his country after making his international debut earlier this year.
Duran is reportedly valued at around £10million by Chicago Fire.
Meanwhile, Manchester United have joined Chelsea in the race to sign Borussia Dortmund and Germany forward Youssoufa Moukoko.
Premier League rivals Liverpool have also joined the race to sign the 18 year old forward who is set to become a free agent at the end of the season.
According to The Times, Manchester United and Liverpool are both firmly in the race to sign Moukoko who has been strongly linked with a January move to Stamford Bridge.
Moukoko is viewed as one of the most exciting talents in world football, having already made more than 50 appearances for Dortmund and making his international debut.
With Moukoko’s contract expiring at the end of the season, Borussia Dortmund will consider selling him in January unless they can tie him down to a new long-term deal.
Despite the massive interest in Moukoko, it is believed the teenager does not want his development to stall so is wary about leaving Borussia Dortmund only for his career to stagnate.
