Contrary to recent reports, Chelsea transfer target Youssoufa Moukoko is not close to signing a new deal with Borussia Dortmund according to his agent.
The Germany World Cup star will be a free agent at the end of the season and is attracting interest from Chelsea.
The striker has six goals and four assists in 14 Bundesliga games for Borussia Dortmund this season and at 18 he became the youngest player to represent Germany at a World Cup.
On Thursday, reports in Germany emerged that Moukoko is close to extending his Borussia Dortmund contract but Moukoko’s agent has now claimed that this is false.
Patrick Williams also denied reports his clients is demanding a salary increase from £4,000-a-week to £115,000-a-week.
“I can confirm that we are not about to conclude a contract extension with Borussia Dortmund,” Williams told Sky Germany.
“I can also assure you that the numbers that are circulating are simply not correct and Youssoufa was never offered that much. But we are still in contact with Dortmund and will see what the next few days bring.
“A player like Youssoufa is interesting for every top club in the world. Especially when he is free and has a future in the German national team.”
