Chelsea will reignite interest in signing Barcelona star and Netherlands international Memphis Depay in January, according to the Evening Standard.
Chelsea explored a deal for Depay in the summer before moving for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Depay has six months left on his Barcelona contract and is available in January after falling down the pecking order at the Spanish side.
Depay has previously spoken about his future amid interest from Chelsea.
Addressing speculation about his future, Depay said: “The injury has been hard, but I’m already recovered and I’m enjoying a World Cup.
“I don’t want to think about the past, I’m focused on the World Cup. I also don’t want to think beyond this competition. I don’t know what will happen after the World Cup.”
