Premier League rivals Liverpool are leading the race to sign talented Chelsea transfer target Jude Bellingham, according to The Athletic.
The 19 year old Borussia Dortmund midfielder was recently described by Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden as “one of the most gifted players I’ve ever seen”.
Bellingham was one of the stand-out players at the World Cup as England reached the quarter-finals of the competition.
Despite Liverpool reportedly leading the race for Bellingham, the report adds other interested clubs do not think the matter is closed.
Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City and Real Madrid are all battling with Liverpool for the transfer of Bellingham.
Liverpool’s pursuit of Bellingham is being led by manager Jurgen Klopp but it is believed the current uncertainty at Anfield after Liverpool was put up for sale could affect their chances of signing Bellingham.
