Chelsea are keen on signing Benfica teenage winger Diego Moreira in January, according to The Mirror.
Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is keen on signing Europe’s best youngsters as he seeks to build an exciting Chelsea team for the future.
Chelsea signed Carney Chukwuemeka, Cesare Casadei and Omari Hutchinson in the summer and the Blues are set to continue the trend of signing exciting youngsters by signing Moreira in January.
Moreira is a left-footed winger and has been compared to former Portugal star Nani and Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane.
The Benfica ace and Portugal U19 international has already made a substitute appearance this term in the Champions League after making his debut last season.
Moreira is under contract at Benfica until 2024 and the Portuguese league leaders are trying to extend his contract.
Benfica are keen on extending the contract of Moreira but the teenager has stalled on extending his contract amid interest from Chelsea.
