Chelsea striker Armando Broja suffered a knee injury in a mid-season friendly against Aston Villa and the Blues are now set to set a striker in January.
According to The Athletic, Chelsea are now keen on signing Borussia Dortmund striker and Germany World Cup star Youssoufa Moukoko in January following the injury to Broja.
Moukoko has shone in the Bundesliga this term, scoring six goals in 14 appearances, and he became the youngest player to represent Germany at a World Cup when he came off the bench against Japan just three days after his 18th birthday last month.
Moukoko will be a free agent at the end of the season but the Blues are now reportedly set to push for his signing in January following the injury to Broja.
Broja was stretchered off after appearing to sustain a serious knee injury following a challenge with Villa defender Ezri Konsa.
Chelsea are still waiting to find out the extent of the setback, but there are fears that he may have torn his ACL which would rule him out for the rest of the season.
