Chelsea have arranged a behind-closed-doors friendly with west-London rivals Brentford, according to Daily Mail.

Chelsea will play Brentford in a behind-closed-doors friendly at the training ground in Cobham on Tuesday, December 20th as Graham Potter prepares the Blues for the resumption of the Premier League.

The friendly will give Graham Potter’s men seven days to recover before the Blues resume action in the league against Bournemouth.

The Blues have been training in Abu Dhabi to prepare for the resumption of the Premier League and lost 1-0 to Premier League side Aston Villa in a friendly at Abu Dhabi.

Meanwhile, Premier League rivals Newcastle United are interested in signing Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic in January, according to The Sun.

Pulisic is one of three targets Eddie Howe’s side are considering to strengthen their Champions League ambitions.

Chelsea are reportedly open to selling Pulisic and value the USA international at around £40m but Newcastle are hoping to get the fee reduced.

Newcastle United face a battle with Man United and league leaders Arsenal but the pair would reportedly prefer a loan.

But Chelsea are unwilling to sanction a loan move for Pulisic and will reportedly prefer a permanent transfer for the USA international.

Pulisic has only started three Premier League games for Chelsea this season.
