Former West Ham striker Frank McAvennie has warned Chelsea against signing Manchester United star Jadon Sancho.
According to McAvennie, Sancho isn’t consistent enough to play for Chelsea and is just like Raheem Sterling.
Italian outlet Calciomercato recently revealed Chelsea are interested in signing Sancho and are ready to offer Christian Pulisic as part of a swap deal.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, McAvennie said: “Are they going to take another player like Sterling?
“Sancho is like Sterling, he can play great for three or four games and then miss half a dozen.
“Will he go to Chelsea? I do not know. I do not know if Chelsea would want another player like that. Maybe there is more to it.“
Sancho has endured a tough spell at Old Trafford since completing a £72million move in July 2021. His current deal at United runs until 2026.
The winger has made 14 appearances for the Red Devils so far this season and has scored three goals and provided one assist in those outings.
