Chelsea are confident of signing RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol due to two reasons, according to Tribal Football.

The first reason why Chelsea are confident of signing Gvardiol is due the Croatian connection between the defender and Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic.

The second reason why Chelsea are confident of signing the RB Leipzig defender is due to the imminent arrival of Christopher Vivell as a technical director.

Vivell departed Leipzig at the beginning of October and has a good knowledge of Gvardiol and the situation with Chelsea over the past summer.
