Manchester United legend Roy Keane described Chelsea goalkeeper and Senegal international Edouard Mendy as a weak link ahead of England’s 3-0 victory over Senegal.
Mendy and Senegal were beaten 3-0 at the World Cup round of 16 stage by England on Sunday.
While Mendy did commit any serious errors, he was not at his best either, as his nation made a tame exit from the competition.
Jordan Henderson, Harry Kane, and Bukayo Saka struck the goals for England.
Speaking pre-game, Keane said on ITV: “You never underestimate a team but never overestimate them either.
“England have got a good starting 11 and looks strong on paper.
“You mentioned there, goalkeepers, Senegal, I think he [Mendy] is a weak link for them, not great.”
