Inter Milan and Chelsea set to make decision on Romelu Lukaku’s future following World Cup exit

Inter Milan are trying to sign Romelu Lukaku on loan for another season after Chelsea made it clear the Blues do not want him back, according to Gazzetta dello Sport via Daily Mail.

Lukaku joined Chelsea for £97.5million in August 2021 but had a poor campaign before joining Inter Milan on loan last summer.

The 29-year-old, for his part, is believed to be keen to stay at the San Siro and is not considering moving to any other club.

The news comes just days after a half-fit Lukaku missed four huge chances as Belgium crashed out of the Qatar World Cup at the group stages.

Lukaku has only played five matches in all competitions for the Nerazzurri this season, scoring twice, due to persistent ankle and hamstring injury problems.
