Chelsea star and USA international Christian Pulisic was taken to a hospital in Qatar after being forced off the pitch with an injury on Tuesday against Iran.

According to the USA national team as reported by Goal, Pulisic suffered a core injury and was taken to the hospital for further evaluation. His status for the rest of the tournament has not yet been determined.

Pulisic suffered the injury as he scored the only goal of the game in USA’s 1-0 victory over Iran. The victory helped USA progress into the last 16 of the World Cup.

USA will meet Netherlands in the last 16 of the World Cup and will hope Pulisic will be fit for the game.
