Boehly and Potter agree these two Chelsea stars must leave next summer to save the club big money

Chelsea owner Todd Boehly and Chelsea boss Graham Potter are already planning for next summer.

The Blues won’t spend big in January after spending big last summer.

According to The Sun, Boehly and Potter have both decided the club needs a new first choice goalkeeper next summer.

Given the cost of keeping Kepa Arrizabalaga and Edouard Mendy at the club, Chelsea are open to selling both goalkeepers next summer.

With Marcus Bettinelli at the club and 18 year old Gabriel Slonina joining Chelsea in January from MLS club Chicago Fire, Chelsea boss is confident the Blues have good enough back-up for the new potential first-choice goalkeeper next summer.

Chelsea forked out £22million to sign Mendy from Rennes two years ago after the world record £71m deal for Kepa was deemed to have been a failure.

However, both goalkeepers have failed to convince Chelsea boss Graham Potter.
