Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur are pushing to hijack Chelsea’s move for RB Leipzig centre-back Josko Gvardiol, according to Tuttomercatoweb via SportsMole.

Chelsea tried to sign the 20 year old defender last summer but a move failed to materialise and the Blues still remain interested in signing the Croatian international.

Tottenham Hotspur star Ivan Perisic is reportedly convincing his Croatian national teammate Gvardiol to snub a move to Chelsea and join Tottenham Hotspur instead.

Gvardiol has a total of three goals and four assists to show from 65 games in a Leipzig shirt, and he has played every minute of Croatia’s World Cup 2022 campaign so far.

Spanish side Barcelona have also been credited with an interest in the centre-back despite their financial difficulties.
