Why Manchester City are now confident of beating Chelsea to transfer of Jude Bellingham

Manchester City believe they have been handed a huge boost in the race to sign Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham.

According to 90min, Manchester City believe Pep Guardiola’s decision to sign a new contract have put them in a strong position to win the race for Bellingham next summer.

The report claims that Bellingham is keen to play under the Man City manager, and the club are confident that the Spaniard’s presence puts them at the head of the queue.

Manchester United, Liverpool and Real Madrid are also said to be in the hunt for the former Birmingham City youngster, who is likely to cost well in excess of £100m.

Bellingham has made 112 appearances for Borussia Dortmund, contributing 19 goals and 21 assists in the process.
