Chelsea are expected to have a busy January transfer window despite spending more than any other Premier League club last summer.

According to Marca via Football London, Joao Felix has emerged as a potential transfer target in January after informing his agent, Jorge Mendes, that he would like to leave Atletico Madrid.

The Portugal international is keen on leaving Atletico Madrid in January due to his poor relationship with Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone.

The 23-year-old forward signed for Atletico back in 2019 after completing a £108million move from Benfica, but he has struggled to live up to expectations in the Spanish capital. 

Felix’s contract isn’t set to expire until 2026 meaning Atletico could demand a significant fee for the Portuguese forward. He has a €350million release clause in his Atletico Madrid contract.
