Italian champions AC Milan are keen on signing Chelsea forward Hakim Ziyech on loan in January with an option to buy, according to Italian media outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Ziyech has struggled to impress at Stamford Bridge and could soon find himself out the door at Chelsea, in January. The Moroccan international is hoping to use the World Cup to secure an exit from Chelsea in January.
AC Milan are rumoured to have a strong interest in the Morocco international, and the Serie A side would be interested in signing the 29-year-old on loan, with a view to sign permanently — similar to the deal that brought Fikayo Tomori to the San Siro.
Speaking after Morocco’s goalless World Cup draw with Croatia, Ziyech responded to reports suggesting he wants to leave in January.
“It’s hard to say, difficult to say,” Hakim Ziyech said after Morocco’s 0-0 draw with Croatia about his potential move from Chelsea.
“We don’t know what will happen in the winter. It’s football, so it’s difficult to say.”
