Chelsea forward and USA international Christian Pulisic was named Player of the Match in England’s goalless draw against USA on Friday night.
Pulisic was named Player of the Match following a contest in which he had more shots (four) and completed more take-ons (two) than any other player on the pitch.
Pulisic was one of the game’s liveliest attacking forces and came closest to breaking the deadlock in a 0-0 draw with a rasping strike against the crossbar.
“I thought it was a very solid performance from us against a good opponent,” Pulisic said shortly after his 54th international appearance for the USA.
“There were stretches of the game where we had control and we pushed them back into their own half. We created chances and could have won the game but to come away with a draw is a decent result.
“I hope we’ve made a lot of people proud back home but the job isn’t even close to being done. We’ve got a lot of work to do.”
