Chelsea star Mason Mount met his sister’s three-year-old daughter for the first time after England’s 6-2 victory over Iran on Monday at the World Cup in Qatar, according to Daily Mail.
Mount’s sister Stacey lives in Australia and gave birth to his niece Poppy more three years ago.
Strict lockdown rules in Australia, where she lives along with the demands of Mason’s football schedule with Chelsea, stopped him from seeing his niece.
But Stacey has brought Poppy to Qatar to meet her uncle at the World Cup and Mason Mount was all smiles as he hugged his niece.
Stacey wrote on Instagram: “After 3 1/2 years, I got to see my little bro and Poppy meet her uncle Mason for the first time and what a day!
“I cannot even express what a proud big sister I am. All these years of hard work and dedication.”
