Brazilian media outlet UOL has confirmed Chelsea’s interest in signing FC Porto winger Pepe.

Portuguese media outlet Record had previously claimed Chelsea are interested in signing the 25 year old Brazilian winger and reports from Brazil have now confirmed the report.

Pepe reportedly has a €75million release clause in his Porto contract and it is believed Chelsea could move for the winger in January.

Meanwhile, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed Chelsea are yet to make a move for 25 year old Brazilian winger Pepe.

Romano told CaughtOffside: “Still, Chelsea are linked with 50 wingers every day and at the moment there is nothing concrete with Pepe. They will go step by step on the market, their focus is on Christopher Nkunku for June and then we will see who they target out wide.

“Rafael Leao is appreciated of course, but it’s not an easy deal for January. And no talks are ongoing for Leandro Trossard as of today, even though some outlets keep on talking up the links with Graham Potter.”
