According to The Telegraph, the Blues are willing to make Mason Mount is the second highest earner at the club by offering him a £300,000-a-week contract.
Chelsea’s highest earner is England international Raheem Sterling alongside Romelu Lukaku, who is on loan at Inter Milan. Both players reportedly earn £325,000-a-week.
Mount’s current Chelsea contract expires in the summer of 2024 and the 23 year old England international is expected to resume contract talks with Chelsea after the World Cup.
As it stands, there’s no indication that Mount is prepared to leave Chelsea after a 17-year association with the club despite interest from Premier League rivals Liverpool.
