Chelsea have no plans to try to sign Cristiano Ronaldo after he became a free agent following the termination of his Manchester United contract, according to The Telegraph.
The 37 year old Portugal international reached an agreement with Manchester United to terminate his contract after criticising the club in an explosive interview with Piers Morgan.
Chelsea’s Todd Boehly-Clearlake Capital owners discussed the possibility of signing Ronaldo in the summer but then Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel was against the move.
With Graham Potter replacing Tuchel as Chelsea boss, the Blues were linked again with a move for Ronaldo following his exit from Manchester United.
However, The Telegraph claims Chelsea are currently not interested in signing Ronaldo, with the Blues focusing on other targets instead.
