Chelsea have completed the transfer of RB Leipzig forward Christopher Nkunku, according to France media outlet Le10Sport via Daily Mail.
Nkunku’s agent Pini Zahavi is claimed to have agreed the terms of the deal, with the 25-year-old expected to complete his move on July 1.
The Blues have reportedly completed the deal for the France international despite RB Leipzig confirming the forward faces an unspecified spell on the sidelines with a torn knee ligament injury which ruled him out of the World Cup.
Chelsea are believed to have agreed to pay Nkunku’s £53million release clause.
Nkunku has scored 12 goals in just 15 Bundesliga games this season, helping RB Leipzig go into the World Cup break in third place.
He was named Bundesliga player of the year last season after a prolific campaign, where he scored 35 goals and assisted 20 more in 52 appearances in all competitions.
