Chelsea star scores as England beat Iran 6-2 in the World Cup

Chelsea star Raheem Sterling scored England’s third in their 6-2 victory over Iran on Monday afternoon in the Qatar World Cup.

As revealed earlier, Chelsea duo Sterling and Mason Mount started for England while Conor Gallagher was an unused substitute.

The other goalscorers for England were Chelsea transfer target Jude Bellingham, Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka (2 goals), Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford and Manchester City forward Jack Grealish. Sterling provided the assist for Saka’s second goal.

Grealish and Phil Foden replaced Sterling and Mount respectively in the 70th minute for England.

England’s next game at the World Cup is against the United States on Friday.
