Belgium captain and Real Madrid forward Ede Hazard has admitted he played his best football at Chelsea.
Hazard was one of the best players in the Premier League before joining Real Madrid in the summer of 2019 but he has struggled at the Spanish club due to injuries.
Now with Belgium at the World Cup, Hazard reflected: “Perhaps I had my best period at Chelsea. At Real I played well under Zidane’s management, we spoke when he left, he was sad because I hadn’t been able to perform as expected.
“I speak little with Ancelotti, I spoke to him for five minutes at the start of the season, but I never speak much with the coaches.
“I’m not one of those who goes to a coach and tells him he has to do this or that.”
