Real Madrid are ready to sign Chelsea right-back Cesar Azpilicueta in January, according to The Hard Tackle.

The reigning La Liga champions want to sign the Chelsea captain in the January transfer window and are ready to offer €10 million to secure the services of the Spanish defender.

With Azpilicueta aged 33 and not being a regular at Chelsea, Real Madrid believe offering €10million for the right-back will tempt Chelsea into selling.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly keen on signing a right-back in January. Alvaro Odriozola is out of favour and might leave Real Madrid in January while Lucas Vazquez’s performance levels have waned this season.

With Dani Carvajal blowing hot and cold, Real Madrid reportedly believe they need another right-back in January and have identified Azpilicueta as an ideal signing.
