According to The Guardian, Liverpool and Juventus are keeping track of Mason Mount’s contract situation at Chelsea.

The 23 year old England midfielder is yet to reach an agree over a new Chelsea contract with his current contract expiring in 18 months.

Mount is one of the lowest earners in the first-team squad and wants a new deal to reflect his status as one of Graham Potter’s most important players.

Liverpool and Juventus are ready to make a move for Mount if the England international fails to reach an agreement with Chelsea over a new contract.

The prospect of some of Europe’s top sides targeting Mount could lead to greater urgency from Chelsea to reach an agreement with the midfielder.

Chelsea owners want to avoid the messy situation they inherited which saw Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen both leave the club as free agents in the summer.
