Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has explained that despite claims of Mason Mount’s contract extension being stalled, the English midfielder will surely stay at Stamford Bridge.
Mount’s current Chelsea contract expires in the summer of 2024 and the Blues are yet to reach an agreement with the England international over a new contract.
“Despite some speculation doing the rounds, I’m told there have been talks ongoing for a long time between Mason Mount and Chelsea,” Romano explained.
“It’s still not done but it’s under discussion, and for Chelsea it’s seen as an important priority to extend Mount’s deal.”
