Chelsea are favourites to sign Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo in January following his explosive interview with Piers Morgan, according to Evening Standard.
Ronaldo’s future as a Manchester United player is effectively over after he criticised the club and insisted he will never respect Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag because the Dutch tactician disrespected him.
In a shock interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Ronaldo accused Ten Hag and “two or three guys around the club” of trying to force him out, insisting the fans “should know the truth.”
Following Ronaldo’s interview, a report on Standard Sport has now made Chelsea favourites to sign the Manchester United forward in January.
Former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel rejected the idea of signing Ronaldo in the summer and it remains to be seen if new manager Graham Potter sees things differently should another approach be made.
