Chelsea boss Graham Potter isn’t convinced Edouard Mendy and Kepa Arrizabalaga are suited to his possession-based style of football.
According to The Mirror, Potter is interested in signing 24 year old Brighton goalkeeper Robert Sanchez next summer.
Sanchez is going to the World Cup with Spain at the expense of Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, who is no longer called by Spain these days.
The 24-year-old burst on to the scene two seasons ago under Potter at Brighton and has since played 79 times for Brighton.
Sanchez is now a regular in Spain’s international set-up, winning his first cap last year and Potter believes he is ideally suited to his style of possession football.
Sanchez has a contract with Brighton until 2027 with a release clause of £57million.
