Despite Chelsea losing our last three games in all competitions and having no win in our last five Premier League games, Chelsea boss Graham Potter believes there have been lots of positives.

“We have had a tough period and there have been a lot of positives but also some negatives,” Potter said after the 1-0 defeat at Newcastle United.

“Sometimes you have to accept the struggles you have. It is about regrouping and starting again. It is the second half of the season and there is a long way to go.’

He continued: “For different reasons, you have 13 matches in six weeks, a lot of those games away from home. It is what it is and it has been challenging. We have a break now and we need to re-energise.

“For us in terms of what we’ve had with an incredibly intense period, it is what it is. We need to take the positives. A lot of the boys will be away but we can get away, regroup and go again when we come back.”
