Chelsea are interested in signing Brentford’s star striker Ivan Toney according to media outlet Fichajes via Goal.

The Blues require a goalscorer and Toney has been in sublime form this season scoring 11 times in the league so far.

Toney scored a brace on Saturday as Brentford beat Manchester City 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium, with the England forward a thorn in the flesh of the Manchester City defence.

Chelsea signed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Barcelona on transfer deadline day but the former Arsenal striker has struggled to impress at Chelsea. He was an unused substitute in Chelsea’s 1-0 defeat at Newcastle United on Saturday.
