Kalidou Koulibaly has failed to replace Antonio Rudiger

Following Antonio Rudiger’s summer exit to Real Madrid, Chelsea signed Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli to replace the German centre-back.

The 31 year old Koulibaly was expected to replace Rudiger seamlessly as the Blues spent £34million to sign him from Napoli and also offer him huge wagesstranded.00r year contract.

Rudiger has struggled to reproduce the form he displayed over many years at Napoli. The centre-back has appeared uncertain and rash for Chelsea, something highlighted by the five yellow cards and one red card he has received in 15 matches.

His passing ability and composure was also praised following his arrival from Napoli but we are yet to see that in a Chelsea shirt.

Koulibaly was blamed for Chelsea’s exit in the Carabao Cup to Manchester City and rightly so. The 31 year old centre-back was part of wall to stop Riyad Mahrez’s free-kick in the second-half.

Had Koulibaly opted to jump in the wall rather than stay stationary, the Senegalese international would have almost certainly blocked the ball and not left Edouard Mendy stranded.

What’s your verdict on Koulibaly’s performances for Chelsea so far this season?

How can Koulibally be blamed for the all round faults and failures of Graham Potter? How many matches has he been featured under Graham Potter?

Let Chelsea get Luise Enrique in January, 2023 and you will see that more quality players will accept to come to Chelsea while other managers like Pep Gourdiola, Jurgen Klop, Mikel Arteta, Antonio Conte and Ten Cate will be sweating to come and play Chelsea. But with Graham Potter all the Managers in Europe are dreaming to meet Chelsea because they know Chelsea have no manager at the moment. Graham Potter’the match seller’ ……hmmmmmmmm.
