Chelsea legend John Terry has hailed the performance of Chelsea youngster Lewis Hall in the 2-0 Carabao Cup defeat to Manchester City on Wednesday night.
The 18-year-old made his second senior appearance for the Blues against Manchester City, having made his debut against Chesterfield in the FA Cup last season.
Terry was full of praise for the youngster on Twitter, saying: “What a great first half performance from Lewis Hall.”
Explaining why he started Hall against Manchester City, Potter said: “My experience of these games is that there is always someone who emerges.
“Obviously we hope it’s Lewis but it could be someone else. That’s the beauty of the game. We want to try and win but it’s important that guys who train with the team get a chance to play as well.”
