England boss Gareth Southgate has told Chelsea right-back Reece James that he won’t make England’s World Cup squad.

According to The Athletic, Southgate called the 22-year-old on Tuesday to inform him of his decision.

James suffered a knee injury during Chelsea’s 2-0 Champions League victory over AC Milan at San Siro in October.

Chelsea boss Graham Potter confirmed that the full-back was back jogging with the group on Tuesday, but Southgate won’t be risking him in Qatar.
