Chelsea’s best game this season remains the 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge under Thomas Tuchel and as a fan of this beautiful club, I can’t really say we have moved forward since Tuchel was sacked and Graham Potter appointed as his replacement.
From Tuchel’s first game in charge of the Blues against Wolves at Stamford Bridge after replacing Frank Lampard, we all knew how Tuchel wanted Chelsea to play. Tuchel had an identity and quickly transferred it to his players. I can’t see any identity under Potter despite 12 games in charge of the Blues.
I don’t expect Chelsea to win every game or outplay every team but I expect the Blues to put a fight in every game and that was lacking today in the 1-0 defeat to Arsenal. It was a lifeless performance from the Blues and I just wonder how we got here.
Potter talked about Pep Guardiola, Mikel Arteta and Jurgen Klopp being given time but we all saw the identity they wanted to achieve when they struggled with their teams. Under Potter, Chelsea have no identity, that’s the difference.
Have Chelsea gone backwards under Potter?
So true if you struggle with identity than struggle with no identity
Chelsea as made a big mistake to appoint potter’… I do not think he can move the team anywhere, so action ahould be taking before it is too late.
