4 worst Chelsea players against Arsenal

Chelsea boss Graham Potter got his team selection wrong for the 1-0 defeat to Arsenal. Players like Mateo Kovacic, Christian Pulisic and Denis Zakaria didn’t deserve to be on the bench against Arsenal.

Here are the four worst Chelsea players against Arsenal:

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

He was supposed to fix the striking problems at Chelsea but he has turned out to be worse than even Romelu Lukaku. His lack of involvement against Arsenal was appalling. He touched the ball just 8 times. Five of his touches were passes and only three of those were accurately. Time to give Armando Broja a run in the starting XI.

Kai Havertz

Why Havertz is still a Chelsea player amazes me. He has had more bad games than good games. When you see his name in the line-up, you wonder the Havertz that will turn up. Well, the Havertz that turned up against Arsenal was the usual terrible player. Christian Pulisic will be a better player for the Blues if he gets the same amount of chances that Havertz gets.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek

While Arsenal had an energetic Thomas Partey in midfield alongside Xhaka, Chelsea had a sluggish pair of Loftus-Cheek and Jorginho. Denis Zakaria’s performance against Dinamo Zagreb deserved him keeping his place in the team against Arsenal. Chelsea boss Graham Potter should be rewarding excellent performances and not just having some favourites.

Marc Cucurella

The Spaniard has failed to justify the huge £60million spent on signing him from Brighton. His poor performances continued against Arsenal. I can’t be too harsh on the manager for starting him because he had no choice with Ben Chilwell out injured.
