Reigning Italian champions AC Milan have joined Barcelona in the race to sign Chelsea midfielder Jorginho on a free transfer next summer.

The 30-year-old, who joined the Blues from Napoli in 2018, is yet to extend his Chelsea contract which expires at the end of the season.

Jorginho played a key role as Chelsea beat Dinamo Zagreb 2-1 in the Champions League on Wednesday night and his performances for the Blues is now attracting interest from AC Milan and Barcelona.

Should Jorginho leave Chelsea at the end of the season, Barcelona are reportedly hoping he snubs Serie A in pursuit of a fresh challenge in LaLiga, having previously spent eight successive years in Italy at Hellas Verona and Napoli.
