Fabrizio Romano has revealed Thomas Tuchel was shocked by his Chelsea dismissal and still hasn’t mentally recovered from it.

Chelsea sacked Thomas Tuchel after the 1-0 defeat against Dinamo Zagreb in early September.

“Thomas Tuchel is suffering with this Chelsea situation,” the reporter said on the House Of Champions podcast.

“He wanted to continue, he wanted to fight for his players, to fight for his club. He wasn’t expected to be fired at that point of the season. He’s still suffering.

“From what I’m told, not so long [until Tuchel returns to management], I don’t see him being out for one or two years. As soon as he has an opportunity with an important club, he will be ready to accept and be back.”
