With the World Cup barely three weeks away, attention is being turned to football’s biggest competition.

France are world champions after winning the World Cup in 2018, but football fans believe that they’d crumble in this month’s competition.

N’Golo Kante who was a key part of France success in 2018 has been ruled out of the World Cup. Paul Pogba and Mike Maignan have also been ruled out, with Raphael Varane now a doubt.

Football fans have now dismissed France’s chances of defending their crown without Kante.

Meanwhile, Kante is in the final year of his contract with Chelsea, but talks seems to have stalled over a new deal, with Kante’s injuries not helping matters.

Chelsea boss Graham Potter has said the focus is to get Kante back from injury before contract talks would resume.

Potter said: “The most important thing for us and for me is that we help him get fit. That’s the focus.

“He’s got a long road ahead of him so we have to make sure that we get him the right treatment, we help him get back fit and strong, and once he’s enjoying his football we can think about those things then.”
