Switzerland international Denis Zakaria scored on his Chelsea debut in the 2-1 Champions League victory over Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb at Stamford Bridge.

The midfielder joined Chelsea from Italian side Juventus on transfer deadline day and only made his first appearance for the Blues today against Dinamo Zagreb.

Speaking to BT Sport, Zakaria said: “I’m very happy with that debut for Chelsea, the goal and the win.

“It was important for me to have a good game and help the team win. The job is done today so I’m happy.”
