Chelsea signed Denis Zakaria from Juventus on transfer deadline day, as the 25-year-old joined from Juventus on a season-long loan deal, with Chelsea having the option to buy.
However, the Swiss international has struggled for game time at Chelsea and is yet to start a game for the Blues so far.
Speaking ahead of Chelsea’s Champions League clash with Dinamo Zagreb, Blues boss Graham Potter has admitted that Zakaria is disappointed with his situation.
Potter is also backing Zakaria to get his first Chelsea appearance against Zagreb.
“As I’ve said before he’s been really good, he’s trained well, he’s supported his team-mates,” Potter said about the Chelsea loanee.
“Obviously he’s been disappointed not to play, like everybody is, but up until the weekend results have been positive, we’ve been trying to take steps, but he’s in the frame for tomorrow.
“He’s available for selection and we will wait and see.”
