Roberto de Zerbi was appointed as the new manager of Brighton, following Graham Potter’s move to Chelsea.
For all of Brighton’s energetic display under De Zerbi, they are yet to win a game under the new manager – with 3 defeats and 2 draws.
Meanwhile, Blues boss Graham Potter has admitted that the Seagulls new manager has been unlucky.
Ahead of Chelsea’s match away at the Amex Stadium, Potter spoke about his former side.
He said: “They’ve been unlucky, performances have been good. They haven’t had too much luck from what I’ve seen. I know the qualities of the team.
“It helps a little bit (knowing them). Roberto has been there a few weeks now, you can see the differences. Whilst I know the players well, it’s a new manager and new ideas.
“Great bunch of lads, top staff, I enjoyed my time there. It’s going to be very difficult tomorrow.”
Graham Potter heads into the game against Brighton, so far unbeaten and hoping to make it 10 matches unbeaten as Chelsea head coach, which would make him the first English manager of the Blues to achieve that milestone.
For Potter, he’s not even paying attention to the stats.
“I wasn’t aware of that and it’s not something I think about too much,” said Graham Potter.
“My main focus is to prepare the team to try and get a good result against Brighton, which will be tough enough.”
