Chelsea manager Graham Potter has insisted his side have no advantage when he faces former club Brighton in the Premier League on Saturday.

Graham Potter left the Seagulls last month to replace Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea, and is so far unbeaten as Chelsea manager.

Potter guided Brighton to their best-ever league finish last campaign, as they finished in ninth. This season, Brighton was at 4th before he left to become Chelsea head coach.

Potter knows Brighton very well and the players at the club, but he has insisted that he has no advantage whatsoever.

“Well, it helps a little bit [on knowing his former side and players], but Roberto [De Zerbi] has been in a few weeks now,” Potter said.

“You can see the ideas and the differences, there is definitely change there I would say.

“So, whilst I know the players well, it’s a new manager, new ideas, so there is always something to learn and surprise, that is football.”
