Chelsea paid a whopping £60m fee to sign up Marc Cucurella from Brighton.

The 24-year-old Spaniard was brilliant under Graham Potter at Brighton, only for his former manager to join him shortly after, at Chelsea.

For Cucurella, he’s pleased to have back Graham Potter as his manager.

“For me and for the team it’s a surprise because I never imagined this,” the Spaniard told Sky Sports.

“With the change, when players work more, results will arrive and I think it’s very important for the club.

“I’m very happy because I stayed with the same manager. I was very happy at Brighton and for me it’s good.

“It’s the same Graham. The same ideas, the same energy to work and improve the team and I think this is a good idea, a good sign. In Brighton we played well and had good results for Brighton.

“If we work hard and stay together we will have a good season.”
