Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior has named his toughest opponents in England.

Reece James and Trent Alexander-Arnold came up against Vinicius in the UEFA Champions League last season, and Vinicius came up as the winner in both meetings, as Real Madrid went on to win the Champions League.

Madrid played against Chelsea Manchester City and Liverpool as they navigated their way to the final of the tournament, but interestingly, when asked to mention his toughest opponents from England, Vinicius left out Alexander-Arnold and spoke highly of Chelsea’s Reece James.

He told SPORTbible : “I’ve played against a lot of them and the most difficult opponents were Chelsea’s [Reece] James and [Kyle] Walker, of Manchester City.”

Vinicius also spoke about his goal against the Reds, explaining how much it meant to him.

“I think it was certainly the most important goal of my career. The most beautiful, the most special,” Vinicius added.

“It was a very important moment, winning the Champions League at 22 and scoring in the final. It will be remembered forever, even more so being at a club that wins so much and loves this competition.

“I’m very happy, but I don’t want to stop there. There are a lot of Champions Leagues ahead and I want to win as many as possible.”
