Chelsea are through to the second round of the Champions League, after beating RB Salzburg 2-1 away from home.

It wasn’t an easy game in Austria, and it definitely wasn’t an easy qualification process for Chelsea who were bottom of the group after two round of matches.

Speaking after the game, Blues boss Graham Potter admitted it wasn’t easy for his side to achieve this feat, but also revealed his disappointment with the missed chances in the first-half.

“That was a fantastic performance from the players,” Graham Potter said after the game.

“It took real courage as you could feel the atmosphere. It was so intense. We controlled their pressure well. It’s not easy to win here as you can see from the record they have. We had to play well.

“We were a bit disappointed to only be one goal up at half-time. One mistake and action resulted in a goal, and that can happen at this level. Our response was really good. I’m delighted to go through with a game to spare considering where we started the competition.”
