For a number of years now, Chelsea have been continually linked with a move for West Ham midfielder Declan Rice.
The 23-year-old was a former Chelsea starlet, but the club released him at age 14.
Rice has now blossomed into being one of the finest midfielders the Premier League has seen.
Rice has so far refused to sign a contract extension with the Hammers, and is set for a fresh move next year.
Rice’s current deal expires in 2024, and West Ham do have an option to extend his deal for another twelve months.
West Ham want in excess of £120m for Rice, and next summer may be the last opportunity to sell him for a mammoth fee.
Meanwhile, journalist Ben Jacob has claimed that there is a real chance of Chelsea signing Rice next summer.
