Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo has been banned by his club after walking out of the stadium before the final whistle in the game between Manchester United and Tottenham.
Ronaldo would miss today’s game at Stamford Bridge, and he has admitted he’d be watching from his home.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner, who trained with United’s Under-21 squad on Friday, didn’t travel with the rest of the first team to west London.
Ahead of the game, Ronaldo has offered brief words of encouragement to his teammates on instagram, three hours prior to kick-off.
He wrote: “Let’s go Manchester United.”
Chelsea fans would be pleased the Portugal legend isn’t playing in this game, after scoring the equaliser last season at Old Trafford – in a game Chelsea dominated from start to finish.
