Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has had another setback regarding his return to the playing squad.

The 31-year-old has undergone an operation on his hamstring injury, and is set to miss action for the next four months.

The midfielder visited a specialist with the club’s medical department to explore the options for his rehabilitation approach and it was mutually agreed for N’Golo to have surgery to repair the damage.

Chelsea have released a statement, thus: “Following a successful operation, N’Golo is now expected to be sidelined for four months.”

Meanwhile, Kante’s future has been uncertain due to his injury troubles over the past two years. The France international will be a free agent at the end of the season
